If you are self-employed or unemployed and have difficulties in paying National Pension due to a low income, you may apply for exemption or deferred payment under “Menjo Nofu-yuyo Seido” (Exemption or Deferred Payment System for National Pension Contributions).
Applications must be filed every year. Application submissions have been open since Wednesday, July 1, 2026. However, if you have applied for “continuous application” and been approved by June 30, 2026, you don’t have to apply this year.
If you wish to apply for this system, you can get the application form at the City Office, Toyokawa Branch or Todoromi Branch. For further information on documents required for filing, please contact the office below.
※You may retroactively pay National pension contributions that were exempted for up to the past 10 years under ”Tsuino Seido” (the Recovery System of the Past Exempted Contributions).
