“Gakudohoiku” is a program to take care of the following 1st to 6th graders after school. Children can spend time in spare rooms in elementary schools and some other locations. These rooms are called “Gakudohoiku-shitsu”.
◆Intended for:
(1) Children with guardians in the following groups who are unable to take care of the children after school is over:
- Guardians are working,
- Guardians are suffering from long-term illnesses,
- Guardians are pregnant or just gave birth to babies,
- Guardians are caring for sick family members,
- Guardians are engaged in restoration work from disasters, etc.
(2) Disabled children who require special care
◆Contents of the program:
(1) Time
Weekdays…Available until 17:00. Extended day care (Enchohoiku) is available until 19:00 with an extra fee. Saturdays and school holiday hours…8:00 to 17:00
※Closed on Sundays, national holidays and New Year holiday seasons
(2) Fees
A monthly fee of ¥7,200 (for after school care, including snack fees). An extra ¥250 per day for extended day care.
◆How to apply:
Fill out the application form, prepare the necessary documents and apply to the Desk for Early Childhood (Kodomo Sogo Madoguchi) located at Minoh City Office Annex (2nd floor).
The deadline for the application is Sat., Sept. 30. (Not accepted by post.) The application form is available at the Desk for Early Childhood.
※For a renewal, you may apply at your present “Gakudohoiku-shitsu”.
