In Minoh City, the fire department holds a “Dezome-shiki (New Year Ceremony)” every year to celebrate the beginning of the new year. There will be training with fire engines and fire helicopters, and there is a brass band performance as well. After the ceremony, there are various experience sessions. Please come and see it.
Date & Time: Wed., Jan. 3 9:30 – 13:00
Place: Kayano-higashi Elementary School (1-18-1 Ishimaru, Minoh City)
※If it rains, the ceremony will be held at Maple Hall, but there will be no “Experience Corner”.
Contents (Schedule):
(1) 9:30 – 11:10 “New Year Ceremony”
(March, performance by the Minoh City Youth Brass Band, rescue training, simultaneous water spray training)
(2) 11:15 – 13:00 “Experience Corner”
(Experience with an electric mini fire engine and a mini ambulance, smoke experience house, extinguishing training with water extinguisher, ride on a light fire engine, take photos in fire protection clothing, ladder truck ride experience)
※For the ladder truck ride experience, 30 groups of people will be selected by lottery using stamp rally cards. Stamp rally cards will be available at reception during the ceremony. Only people over 100cm tall can participate.
