The residents of Minoh City are eligible for free medical checkup of screening for cancer (Stomach, Lung, Colon, Cervical, Breast, and Prostate). Also, residents aged 40 to 74 who have Minoh City National Health Insurance are eligible for free medical checkup for lifestyle-related diseases (high blood pressure, diabetes, etc.) There are more than 50 medical institutions in Minoh City which provide such checkups. We highly recommend you to take this opportunity for both checkups.
◆How to take the checkups
(1) Find the hospital:
Please refer to the Kenshin Guidebook, which was delivered to each family together with April 2019 issue of the Momiji Dayori or the Minoh City website, and then decide the hospital where you will take the checkups.

(2) Make an appointment by phone:
Please call the hospital where you want to get the checkups and tell them that you want a free medical checkup for lifestyle-related diseases and a cancer screening for the residents of Minoh City.
※You can have the free cancer screening once a year (between Apr. 1, 2019 and Mar. 31, 2020). Please be aware that you may not be able to make an appointment during February and March, which is the busiest period annually. We advise you to visit earlier to avoid the rush.
(3) Visit the hospital on the appointment day:
Please visit the hospital with your Health Insurance Certificate (Kenko Hokensho), Driver’s License, or other certificate which can prove your name, address, and age. If you will take checkup for lifestyle-related diseases, you need to bring a special ticket for lifestyle-related diseases checkup with you.
※A free ticket for the medical checkup of lifestyle-related diseases will be sent to residents aged 40 to 74 who have Minoh City National Health Insurance as of Apr. 1, 2019. If you do not receive it by Mon., Jul. 1, please contact the National Health Insurance Office (Kokumin Kenko Hoken-shitsu).
