Cervical cancer vaccination has not been actively recommended for about 8 years. However, women eligible for the routine cervical cancer preventive vaccination are encouraged to be vaccinated from this April. The women can get vaccinated for free. In addition, free vaccination (‘catch-up vaccination’) will continue until March 31, 2025 for the women who have lost the opportunity to get vaccinated during the period when the recommendation for the vaccination has been suspended. Pre-vaccination medical checklists for cervical cancer preventive vaccination are sent to those who are eligible for the vaccination in order.
◆Those who are eligible for the routine vaccination:
Women who were born between April 2, 2006 and April 1, 2011
◆Those who are eligible for ‘catch-up vaccination’:
Women who were born between April 2, 1997 and April 1, 2006
※ If you have paid for the cervical cancer preventive vaccination yourself because you did not have the opportunity to get it for free, you will be reimbursed for part of the cost. (Limited to Cervarix or Gardasil vaccines)
◆Those who are eligible to get a partial refund of the cost:
Women who were registered as residents in Minoh as of April 1, 2022 and were born between April 2, 1997 and April 1, 2005
