(1) Individuals who retire or change jobs lose their eligibility for health insurance coverage under their previous employer’s health insurance plan. In that case, that person needs to submit an application to enroll in the National Health Insurance.
(2) Those who enrolled in social insurance due to employment or marriage must submit a withdrawal form to discontinue their National Health Insurance.
※(1) and (2) In both cases, please submit an enrollment or withdrawal form to the Minoh City National Health Insurance Division within 14 days from change of status. Please be especially careful not to forget to submit the withdrawal form, so as to not end up paying both social insurance and National Health Insurance premiums.
(3) Those who continue to qualify for the special student insurance exemption (Maru-Gaku) from the 2025 fiscal year onward will need to renew their insurance.
※The “Maru-Gaku” National Health Insurance program is a special system that allows students who move out of their parents’ home to attend university and live outside the city to remain covered by their parents’ National Health Insurance. By completing the necessary procedures, students will not need to enroll in a new National Health Insurance plan at their new address, and their parents will pay the insurance premiums on their behalf.
