Minoh Local History Museum (kyoudo shiryou kan)”Pieces of daily life during the war (senji seikatsu shiryou)” Exhibition
28 July (Fri) – 13 September (Wed) 2023

Have you been to the Minoh Local History Museum? At the shopping street near Minoh Station, there is an outdoor staircase that goes down to the museum (basement floor of the Sun Plaza building). The museum hosts various exhibitions throughout the year.

Every year during summer, the museum holds the “Pieces of daily life during the war” exhibition, with the aim of promoting peace by passing down experiences to the next generation.

The exhibit consists mostly of items donated by Minoh citizens, sharing their real experiences during the war. This includes a range of items that show the nationalism of wartime Japan and the reality of peoples’ living conditions. The information is written in Japanese only, but you are welcome to take photos.

Regardless of what country we are from, we all share the same hopes for a world without war. Check out the museum to find out more about the unique local history of Minoh!
