◆Rubella antibody test and vaccination
The following people are eligible for a free rubella antibody test. Vaccination is strongly recommended if your antibody levels are low. If a pregnant woman is infected with rubella, her baby may be born with a disability. The subsidy amount is up to ¥6,000 for vaccination.
Intended for:
a. Women who are hoping to become pregnant or are currently pregnant
b. The spouses of the women in a. above and the person(s) living with her, including the case of childbirth at her parents’ home
Place: Medical institutions designated by Minoh City (Make sure to make a reservation in advance.)
Deadline for test and vaccination: Wed., Mar. 31, 2026
How to apply:
(1) Apply via the website.
(2) Fill in the application form and bring it to Community Health Division (Chiiki Hoken-shitsu) or send it by post. (Address: 5-8-1 Kayano, Minoh 562-0014)
※People who got a routine vaccination against rubella between Apr. 1, 2019 and Mar. 31, 2025 or those who have already received subsidies for the vaccination are not eligible to apply.
◆People whose routine vaccination period is extended
The period for a routine vaccination for the following people has been extended until Wed., Mar. 31, 2027.
Intended for:
a. Men born between Apr. 2, 1962 and Apr. 1, 1979 can receive subsidies up to ¥10,219 for the vaccination. Please apply via the website.
b. People born between Apr. 2, 2022 and Apr. 1, 2023 or between Apr. 2, 2018 and Apr. 1, 2019 can get vaccinated for free if they were unable to receive MR vaccinations in fiscal 2024. Please go to the hospital with the medical questionnaire that you have already received.
◆People eligible for Minoh City’s subsidy for vaccination costs
Minoh City can subsidize up to ¥6,000 for vaccinations for the following eligible people. The subsidy period is until Wed., Mar. 31, 2027.
Intended for:
a. People born before Apr. 1, 1962
b. Men born between Apr. 2, 1979 and Apr. 1, 1990
How to apply:
(1) Apply via the website.
(2) Fill in the application form and bring it to Community Health Division (Chiiki Hoken-shitsu) or send it by post. (Address: 5-8-1 Kayano, Minoh 562-0014)
