To prevent fire accidents caused by lithium-ion batteries, Minoh City has launched a collection program for lithium-ion batteries and small household appliances containing batteries. From October 31, collection boxes are available at the following four public facilities:
Minoh City Office
Toyokawa Branch
Todoromi Branch
Seinan Lifelong Learning Center.
You can bring in items between 9:00-17:00 on the days each facility is open.
When placing a lithium-ion battery into the box, please tape the battery terminals to stop electricity from flowing. This helps prevent heat and fire. Please check the Minoh City website for details on which types of batteries or small electronic items can be collected.
