The rainy season has begun, and this is the time of year when heavy rain is more likely to occur. From now through summer, natural disasters such as typhoons and heavy rainstorms are more likely to occur. Please prepare for heavy rain as early as possible.
◆Clean up drainage ditches near your house
If drainage ditches are blocked with garbage, fallen leaves, branches, etc., water cannot flow properly and may overflow. Flooding in one area can cause serious damage throughout the community. Please clean up drainage ditches before the rainy season begins.
◆Make sure to store food and water supplies for 3 days
After a major disaster, external disaster relief may not arrive for up to 3 days. Make sure to stock enough supplies for 3 days.
(1) Water: 9 liters × number of people in your households
Each person needs about 3 liters of drinking water per day.
(2) Food: Emergency food is not necessary; foods that you regularly eat are also suitable.
Please prepare foods that can be eaten without cooking, such as canned foods and ready-to-eat meals.
◆Emergency disaster information during heavy rain and typhoons will be repeatedly broadcast on FM radio station Tackey 816
Information about evacuations and emergency notices is also available through the Citizen Safety LINE account and the Citizen Safety Alert Email service.
◆Check the location of evacuation shelters and evacuation zones on the Minoh City Hazard Zone Map
