The influenza vaccination for the 2020 season has begun. ￥1,000 worth of flu vaccine coupons were sent at the end of September to families with children aged from six months to the 6th grade of elementary school. Enclosed were 2 copies of coupon per person valid until Mon., Dec. 28. If you want to have your children vaccinated, you may use these coupons by the expiration date. If you have not yet received the coupon, please contact the Children Healthy Division. If you find any difficulties in understanding the leaflet enclosed in the mail, please consult with MAFGA.
※Children under age 13 are recommended to get vaccines twice per season. After getting the first vaccine, an interval of 2 – 4 weeks is required before the second. Timely vaccinations are recommended — get the first one quickly if you wish to complete the second one by the expiration date of coupons.
※The fee you must pay varies for each medical institution, most probably at around ￥2,500 per shot. Reservation may be required.
