“Filing of the final tax return of municipal/prefectural taxes” is to report your income from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31, 2022 to Minoh City. Your income is the amount of money you made minus your expenses. Your municipal and prefectural taxes will be based on this amount.
(1) People who need to file:
a. Those who are residents of Minoh City as of Jan. 1, 2023, and had income from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31, 2022.
b. Those who are not residents of Minoh City as of Jan. 1, 2023, but have houses, offices and/or shops in Minoh City.
(2) People who don’t need to file:
a. Those who will be submitting their final tax return.
b. Those whose income from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31, 2022 is their salary only, and their company submitted the year-end adjusted salary payment report to the City Office (called Nenmatsu-Chousei).
(3) Filing reception:
Filing must be done between Thu., Feb. 16 and Wed., Mar. 15, 2023. There are two ways of reception, a. or b. below. Whichever you choose, you need the filing form. It is downloadable from the Minoh City website.
a. You can send the forms by post to the Municipal Residents’ Tax Office (4-6-1 Nishishoji, Minoh 562-0003). Since the reception desks will be crowded with many people, you are recommended to send them by post.
b. Upon completing the forms, please bring them to the Municipal Residents’ Tax Office.
Please complete forms at home to shorten the time of your stay. Please wear a face mask at the venue.
※The reception desks are closed on Sat., Sun. and National Holidays. However, on Sun., Feb. 19 your filling can be accepted between 10:00-12:00 at the 1st floor of the City Office Annex and Toyokawa Branch.
(4) “My Number” is required
a. You must write your “My Number” in the forms. When submitting the form at the City Office in person, you must need to present your “My Number Card” (“My Number” Individual Number Card). If you don’t have it, please present your “My Number Notification Card” and your personal ID (either your driver’s license, Resident Card, or passport).
b. When you send the forms by post, please be sure to enclose a photocopy of your “My Number Card”. If you don’t have your “My Number Card”, send photocopies of your “My Number Notification Card” and your personal ID (either your driver’s license, Resident Card, or passport).
