April to June is breeding season for crows. During this period, crows attack trash bags very aggressively to find foods for their chicks.
When you take out garbage for collection, please cover the garbage bags with a net and secure it with weights, then fix the edge of the net under the garbage bags. Since crows are skillful at removing nets, weights are necessary to prevent their attack.
※A box type net or a drawstring bag type net can also be useful. They are available at home centers.
※If you share a garbage collection point with more than 5 houses, free garbage nets are available for rent from Minoh City. Please call the Waste Management Division (Kankyo Seibi-shitsu) via 072-729-2371.
For details: Environment & Animal Division (Kankyo Dobutsu-shitsu).
