Please apply if you wish to enroll your child in a municipal day care center (nursery), private daycare center (nursery), nursery course of an early education and care center (“Nintei Kodomo-en, a kindergarten/nursery combined facility), or a community-based daycare center in Minoh City from April 2025.
◆Eligible children:
(1) Children who are living in Minoh City and as of April 1, 2025, 57 days after birth up to the age before attending elementary school.
(2) In Japan, parents (or guardians) are requested to certify that they are unable to take care of the child at home due to job or other reasons. For further information, please check with the Minoh City website.
◆How to apply:
(1) During Fri., Nov. 1 and Mon., Nov. 25, 2024, access the “2025 Nen 4 Gatsu Nyuen ni kakawaru Shinsei” (Application for Nursery Admission April, 2025) in the Minoh City website.
(2) Firstly, download the necessary documents for your application from “the List of Documents Certifying the Necessity of Nursing Care of Your Child at an Outside Facility” and complete the documentation.
(3) Submit the completed Application Forms with the above completed documents via that web page.
◆If You Are Unable to Apply Online:
Please come to the Desk for Early Childhood (Kodomo Sogo Madoguchi) on the 2nd floor of the Minoh City Office Annex(at Nishishoji 4-6-1, Minoh, Osaka 562-0003) during office hours from 8:45 to 17:15 for consultation. Please book an appointment by phone well in advance. (Desk closed on Sundays and national holidays.)
◆2nd application opportunity:
If the number of applicants is less than the capacity of a specific facility for a specific age, a 2nd application chance will be given for vacant places of those facilities in the early February 2025.
※For the May 2025 admission and onward, applications are due by the 5th day of the month prior to the month in which you wish to send your child to the daycare center, etc. (For example, if you want your child to start in May, the deadline is April 5.) However, if you want your child to start in January, February or March, 2025, the deadline for application is Mon., Nov. 25, 2024 for these three months. In those cases, you may make the application either via web site or by submitting written documents the same way as before.
