Please look at the new “Bosai Map (Minoh City Hazard Zone Map)” issued in June 2021 to find out in which area your house is located. If your house is in a colored area, you should move to a safer place during disasters. Take action before it gets dark and before the wind and rain get stronger.
(1) If you live in the Red Zone of the “Bosai Map”, please go to the emergency shelter (“Hinanjo”) when evacuation information is announced.
(2) In the High-risk Area or the Yellow Zone, if you live in a
one-story house, go to the emergency shelter. If you live in a
sufficiently sturdy house with more than two stories, you can
stay on the upper floors of your house away from mountain,
cliff and river. You can also evacuate to a friend’s or relative’s
house in a safe place.
(3) Elderly people, people with disabilities and with small
children, etc. living in the Red Zone or the High-risk Area of
the “Bosai Map” should evacuate as soon as information on
“Evacuation of the Elderly, etc.” is announced. Please go to
the emergency shelter.
(4) Even if you do not live in a hazard area, you can go to the
emergency shelter if you feel uneasy about being alone at
home. However, it is dangerous to go outside during torrential
wind and rain. In that case, please be in the safest place in
your house.
