Health checkups for newborn babies and their mothers require a fee. From April 1, Minoh City will pay part of the costs as written below. Minoh City will send a letter to those who are eligible.
◆Postpartum checkups (two times):
(First checkup) approximately two weeks after giving birth – Up to \5,000
(Second checkup) approximately one month after giving birth – Up to \5,000
◆Newborn hearing screening:
(a) Automated auditory brainstem response (ABR) – Up to \5,000 (one time)
(b) Otoacoustic emissions (OAE) – Up to \1,500 (one time)
