Minoh City is supporting child rearing families badly affected by the recent consumer price hike. Child-rearing families with low income can receive “Special Benefit for Supporting Low-income Families with Children (either for Single-parent Households or Non-Single-parent Households)” upon application. Children already enjoyed this benefit are out of the scope of this application.
◆Eligibility
(1) The “single-parent households” specific benefit is available to the following (a) and (b) categories of single-parent or guardian households:
(a) Those who meet the income criteria of the Child Rearing Allowance but do not receive one this year due to the receipt of public pensions, or
(b) Those who are not eligible for the Child Rearing Allowance due to their last year’s high income, but whose income this year has decreased to the level as low as the recipients of the Child Rearing Allowance.
(2) Child rearing “non-single-parent households” with low income can also receive this special benefit:
(c) Those who are exempted from paying municipal resident tax (per capita basis portion) or whose income this year has decreased to the level as low as the same.
※Those who take refuge from DV in Minoh City are also eligible.
Benefit amount: ¥50,000 per child
How to apply:
Fill out the application form downloaded from the Minoh City website and submit it to the Desk for Early Childhood (Kodomo Sogo Madoguchi) along with required documents in person or by mail.
Application deadline: Thu., Feb. 29, 2024 (postmark valid on the day)
