What You Should Do When You Have a Pet Dog

(1) Registration

Please register the dog as soon as you start to keep it as a pet. The dog only needs to be registered once in its lifetime.

Registration place:

  1. Environment & Animal Office (Kankyo Dobutsu-shitsu) located at Minoh City Office Annex 5th floor
  2. Veterinary hospitals that are members of Minoh City Veterinary Medical Association (The names of the vet hospitals are listed on the Minoh City website.)

Registration fee: \3,000 per dog

(2) Rabies vaccination

Please make sure your dog gets vaccinated for rabies once a year. After the vaccination, please receive and keep the “rabies vaccination voucher.” (It is a form to prove that your dog has already received the injection.)

Vaccination Place: Veterinary hospitals that are members of Minoh City Veterinary Medical Association (The names of the vet hospitals are listed on the Minoh City website.)

Vaccination fee: Please ask the vet hospital. The fee is different for each hospital.

※In addition to the vaccination fee, you need another \550 for “rabies vaccination voucher.”

※Please contact Environment & Animal Office if your dog has died or if the owner’s name or address has changed.
