The building has 6 floors above ground and 1 floor below ground, and has a library, a lifelong learning center, and a parking lot. The Cultural Entertainment Theater (large hall, small hall) is scheduled to open in the complex in August 2021. It was built adjacent to the new “Minoh Semba Handai Mae Station” (scheduled to open in 2023) on the Kita Osaka Kyuko Line. The Main Deck of Semba Square, which connects each facility in front of the station, and the Minoh Semba No. 1 Bicycle Parking Lot have also opened.
◆Semba Library (2F–4F)
There are about 710,000 books in total, including books from Minoh City on the 2nd floor and books from the International Studies Library of Osaka University on the 3rd and 4th floors. The 2nd floor is divided into a “General Area” where you can read quietly and a “Lively Area” where children can relax. There is a cafe space between both areas, and there are a kids space, children’s toilets and Akachan-no-Eki (Babycare Room) in the “Lively Area”. The 3rd and 4th floors are the “Osaka University Collection Floor”. There are also AV Library, Group Study Rooms, Self-study seats (for middle school and high school students), and Study Cubicles. Please note that the opening days and usage procedures are different from other Minoh City libraries.
◆Semba Lifelong Learning Center (5F・6F)
There are 10 meeting rooms, 4 multipurpose rooms, 6 music studios, free space, a Japanese-style room, and Rooftop Sports Area. It can be used for various meetings, workshops, music practice, etc. You can rent musical instruments such as keyboards and drum set at the music studio. The Rooftop Sports Area has night lighting and changing rooms with a shower.
◆Underground Carpark
Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. 116 ordinary cars and 86 motorcycles can be parked.
◆Semba Square Main Deck
It is a deck that connects various facilities in front of the station, such as the public facility complex and Osaka University Minoh Campus. You can take a break on the bench or use it as an event space. There is a bicycle parking lot under the deck that can be used 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. 950 bicycles and 495 moped bicycles can be parked.
