Notice on the COVID-19 Vaccination

The Japanese government decided to extend the on-going COVID-19 vaccination program to the end of March 2024. An omicron variant effective vaccine is to be administered.
※ If you have any vaccination tickets for last season’s booster shots, they are valid until Sun., May 7 (inclusive).
◆Eligibility:
Category (1)
a. Those who are 65 years or older
b. Those with underlying diseases or at higher risk of serious complications
c. Those working in medical institutions or aged people nursing facilities
Category (2)
Those who are between 5 and 64 years old
◆Period of vaccination:
Those belonging to Category (1)
【the 1st shot】 Sat., May 8 – Thu., Aug. 31, 2023
【the 2nd shot】 Sept. to Dec.
Those belonging to Category (2)
【1 shot only】 Sept. to Dec.
The vaccination is not mandatory. Please decide by yourself considering the pros and cons (effects vs. risks).
◆Vaccination tickets:
Minoh City will send the tickets to those eligible in their scheduled order, provided, however, if you simultaneously meet the criteria of Category (2) and Category (1) b. or c. above, you are requested to individually apply for the ticket. Please contact the Call Center shown below for details.
