Cervical cancer vaccination has not been actively recommended for about 8 years. However, women eligible for the routine cervical cancer preventive vaccination are encouraged to be vaccinated from this April. The women can get vaccinated for free. In addition, free vaccination (‘catch-up vaccination’) will continue until March 31, 2025 for the women who have lost the opportunity to get vaccinated during the period when the recommendation for the vaccination has been suspended. Pre-vaccination medical checklists for cervical cancer preventive vaccination are sent to those who are eligible for the vaccination in order.
