There is a vaccine to prevent a disease called shingles.
Minoh City mailed by post Vaccination coupons and vaccination information to those eligible for vaccination in fiscal year 2025 around the end of March. The vaccine is subsidized (although not fully funded).
Eligible:
(1) Those who will turn 65 between Apr. 1, 2025 and Mar. 31, 2026
(2) People who will turn 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, 95, or 100 years old in any fiscal year between Apr. 1, 2025 and Mar. 31, 2030
(3) People aged 101 or older (2025 only)
※If you moved to Minoh City after Apr. 1, or if you are between 60 and 64 years old and have difficulty carrying out daily activities due to human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), and would like to receive the vaccine, please contact Community Health Division
