The Japanese government decided to extend COVID-19 vaccination period to the end of March 2023. Registered residents of Minoh City can get vaccinated. Booster shots for omicron started but the original vaccine is also available for the 1st or 2nd vaccination.
◆About the 4th vaccination:
The 4th vaccination is available to those who are 12 years or older, and got the 3rd shot 5 months ago or before.
◆About the 3rd vaccination:
The 3rd vaccination is available to those who are 12 years or older, and got the 2nd shot 5 months ago or before. Please get the 3rd vaccine soon if you plan to do so, since the 3rd vaccination rate is low especially among the young generation from teenagers to the thirties.
◆About the vaccination for ages from 5 to 11:
The 3rd vaccination for ages from 5 to 11 also started in September. The regulations now recommend vaccination for children since the omicron variant has largely spread among them. It is not mandatory but please consider getting your children vaccinated, recognizing both its effects and risks.
◆Vaccination tickets:
Minoh City sends out the tickets to those eligible in their scheduled order. If you lost the ticket or have not yet received it while being eligible, please contact the Minoh City COVID-19 Vaccination Call Center shown below.
※The vaccination ticket is on the medical interview sheet together with the pre-vaccination checklist. Make sure to bring it with you when you get vaccinated, otherwise you might not be able to get the shot. Also, after you get vaccinated, please keep this sheet with the newly attached sticker of the name and the lot number of the vaccine, since it will be your certificate of vaccination.
◆Types of vaccine:
The type of vaccine may vary depending on the venue. Please ask about the type of vaccine to be used when you make an appointment.
◆Vaccination venue options:
a. 2 designated hospitals in Minoh City (Tatsumi-Imamiya Hospital and Teruha-no-sato Minoh Hospital)
b. Your family physician or designated individual clinics
c. Osaka Prefectural Shinsaibashi Vaccination Center (Nm Plaza Shinsaibashi, 3-4-12 Minami Semba, Chuo-ku, Osaka)
d. Japan Self-Defense Force (JSDF) Large-Scale Vaccination Center (Nikkei-Imabashi Bldg. 1-3-3 Imabashi, Chuo-ku, Osaka)
※For further information, please check the leaflet enclosed with your vaccination ticket, or the Minoh City website.
◆About other vaccinations:
You can get COVID-19 vaccine with the influenza vaccine at the same time. However, if you need to get other vaccines, not the influenza vaccine, they have to be 2 weeks apart from each other.
